Since 1940, E.H. Wachs has provided cold cutting solutions to the oil, gas and water industries with the “Wachs National Pipe Saw”. It was the first milling type cutter to have the capability to travel around the pipe rendering a square clean cut and bevel in one pass. Some of these machines are still in service today! 

The “Wachs Trav-L-Cutter” was introduced in 1970 and quickly became “the standard” for cutting and beveling all types and sizes of power piping. It continues to deliver a safe and effective method to cold cut pipe containing flammable by-product.

Today, the E.H. Wachs line of pipe construction and maintenance machines, as well as our Engineered Solutions division support the power industry with new highly efficient portable pipe cutting and weld preparation machines, employing lathe, milling, sawing and wheel cutting technologies. These machines offer the absolute precision required to get the job done quickly and correctly.

Additionally E.H. Wachs offers a full range power units for machine operation, tooling and accessories, portable valve operating equipment (used to assist in line isolation or valve exercising); portable vacuum systems (for clean-up/spill remediation) and precision drilling / tapping equipment.
