There are situations where chip debris cannot be tolerated. E.H.Wachs Engineered Products divison is the leader in FME (Foreign Material Exclusion). Our chipless cutting technologies minimize debris and virtually eliminates its introduction into the workpiece.

Chipless cutting utilizes a sharp edge wheel that orbits around a work piece while inward pressure is applied to displace material and ultimately sever work piece. Chipless cutting or FME (Foreign Material Exclusion) is used for applications where chip debris cannot be tolerated. Chipless cutters are used in hot cells, high purity settings, and for D&D of chemical agents and explosive munitions.
